Breakthrough Your Glass Ceiling on Money Making on The Internet – part 2

Today, I want to cover the other false belief of ‘How can I make so much money? It is not possible for someone like me. Is it?’ My answer is ‘Yes it is’.

In part 1, I covered the first of two major false beliefs, namely, I don’t have the technical skills. But we discovered that this can be resolved by posing the right question. That is who can help me rather than what do I have to do or how do I do this. 

Mindset

This second issue is one of your mindset  and it is major reason that ultimately stops people. But what do I do if I am sceptical and I don’t really believe I can make this money.

You have to take action and you want to do that quickly so that you can generate the results and prove to yourself that it works. The positive results then bolster your thoughts. This in turn produces good feelings which allows you to take more action generating more results. Which in turn your thoughts improve, increases your feelgood factor resulting in more action and more results. It won’t be long where you will find it hard to imagine what your initial difficulty was. In that you now routinely are doing something you once did not think was possible. The turnaround from fear and negativity about something you now feel so positive about. 

This is why you need to work quickly. Working consistently and hard in the beginning giving yourself a chance, so that this cycle can become a positive. This positive feedback system building good thoughts and generating feeling which produces action and movement forwards.

Many people take too long to do anything and are too slow in generating the results. Therefore, they end up remaining in the same state because they have no positive results. The lack of results make them rethink their initial negative thoughts. They then do not feel particularly good about the situation and end up taking no or very little action. What usually happens here is that they see the next bright shiny object and rush off and purchase that. Only to find that they end up with the same result time and time again. Ultimately, declaring that nothing works on the internet.

Let’s say, you want to earn a $1000 per week the first thing you should do is to work to getting your first sale as quickly as possible. Let’s assume you make $100 in that  first sale but it has taken a few weeks in terms of understanding what you are doing and getting the right traffic. Once you have that then the next aim is to see if you can consistently generate sales and that will mean understanding what amount of traffic you need and other details which I wont get into here. 

But the point is that once you have the first few sales and the appropriate data you can then realistically work out what you need to do and spend to get to the $1000 per week.

Scaling

The next step is then one of scaling to get to the $1000 and above now that you have the formula for generating sales.

One of the great things about the internet is that it is great at scaling. That means that once you have a system that works it as easy to get it to work for a small amount as it is to get it to work for a big amount. 

Examples of increasing belief

Another way to increase your belief. How? By watching others or hearing of others succeeding in what you want to do. I’m sure that you have heard of Edmund Hillary, the first recorded ascent of Everest. He achieved this in 1953. Previously no one believed it was possible to climb Mount Everest and survive. He was the trail blazer and he had to discover many new techniques and methods. But once he had done it. Many others believed it could be done and followed his footsteps. Each person who achieved the goal became a beacon for others to follow and today many thousands of people have climbed Mount Everest.

You have the same story with the four minute mile, Roger Bannister in 1954 broke that particular barrier and now most middle distance male athletes have broken that standard repeatedly. What was once thought superhuman has become commonplace in the world of athletics.

John Reese Internet Pioneer

Moving on to our own field, internet marketing. At one point in history, people said it was impossible to make a million dollars in one day. People were amazed and wondered if it was ever going to be possible. The one day John Reese announced to the world that he was going to do this. Believe me, there were many critics and sceptics that said it was not achievable. 

But they were wrong! John Reese made $1 million dollars in a day and was the first person to hit that goal online. That event provided a spur and encouragement to other online marketers and businesses and now many people have reached the same goal and many are doing that every day now.  

John Reese also said ‘If you can make $1 online then you are 95% of the way to making $100,000 online’. Scaling as mentioned earlier is something particularly important for us as you start your internet journey as the process and systems are in place to achieve that.

Why did he say that? Because the whole process of getting traffic to land on your optin page meant that your ad or email worked. The customer then read the sales copy or watched the video or registered for the webinar and took action, i.e. clicked on the buy button and entered their payment details, the payment was processed. The payment was received and the product was delivered and they received a ‘Thank you’ for purchasing confirmation.

So you have actually made a single $ on a sale. That is a fantastic achievement.

The proof that others have made $10,000 or $100,000’s or millions of dollars all help to build bridges in your own mind so that you can see a way of becoming successful yourself.

The other thing here is that in affiliate marketing you only have to get traffic to the squeeze  page (which really should be your own, before sending them on to the affiliate offer).

Positive Cycle

So in conclusion, if you want to change your mindset and breakthrough your own earnings glass ceiling then find a program, take massive action and get results as quickly as you can. The positive results will affect your thoughts and feelings driving you forward towards further action and more good results and ultimately to the success that you want.
